You can sprinkle Probiotic Foods on your meals, on top of a smoothie or add it to your favourite recipe. But, next level … now you can get your serving of probiotic goodness in raw, vegan, sugar free, chocolate! Not just any probiotic. Not just any chocolate.

An authentic certified organic, raw vegan chocolate is NO longer a guilty pleasure. With the benefits of 65% raw cacao, ½ teaspoon of Fermented Hemp+ and 12+ strains of beneficial bacteria it’s 9 squares of healing deliciousness and if this does not help you increase your serving of gut healing probiotics into your body what else will.

Introducing Mint Biotic Crisp Raw Chocolate—infused with Probiotic Foods’ Hemp+ prebiotic and probiotic. A collaboration made in heaven by Made With Raw Love. Just as the name suggests—it’s fresh, minty, crispy and enhanced with fermented, hempy goodness. Plus it’s sugar free, using certified organic erythritol and luo han guo extract to add a little sweetness.

What is ‘raw’ chocolate?
Chocolate that hasn’t been heated with the benefits of cacao kept in tact, is called raw chocolate. Raw chocolate preserves the many naturally occurring minerals like magnesium and healing plant chemicals—called phytochemicals—that can reduce cellular ageing. Resveratrol, a plant chemical found in red wine, red grapes, blueberries and abundant in dark chocolate, has been found in studies to repair and lengthen the ends of chromosomes. These ends or caps are called telomeres and they are like the caps on the end of shoelaces that get shorter with ageing.

Why Fermented Hemp+ ?
Fermented Hemp+ contains a blend of seeds and hemp protein broken down by the mother culture to release the amino acids and essential fatty acids for better absorption by the body. The alchemy of flavours and nutritional benefits, was an exciting revelation for chocolate alchemist and Nutritionist, Tahlia Mynott, one of the founders of Made With Raw Love with her partner Scott.

The Creators
Made With Raw Love use a variety of healing ingredients like, pre and probiotics, bush foods, medicinal mushrooms, and herbal tonics in their 8 varieties of chocolate and cacao elixirs to create unique flavours and health positive foods.

And just like that, all of sudden we’ve given you a reason to sneak to the fridge anytime day or night. Blame it on us—new Mint Biotic Crisp infused with Probiotic Foods’ Fermented Hemp+ has more than science backing you up.

Plagued by parasites and at your wits end? You are not alone. Many Probiotic Foods fans are wondering whether The Complete Parasite Kit can manage the hard to treat but common protozoans Blastocystis hominis and Dientamoeba fragilis. Here is a helpful course of action to get you started.

Testing.

Firstly, you need to know from your doctor or health professional trained in treating parasites exactly what type of parasite you many have and the severity of the infestation. This is half the battle as regular stool tests can be unreliable indicators of some types of parasites so bare with us here while we explain.

If your stool test comes back negative it does not mean you don’t have a parasite, especially if you are still have life destroying symptoms. It may be worth spending the money on more in-depth testing with a practitioner. CDSA (complete diagnostic stool analysis) coupled with a test that screens for H. pylori plus a PCR screening (DNA analysis) offered by Nutripath in Australia, can be very helpful.

Weed, feed and seed.

When you have an accurate, positive diagnosis you can start putting into practice a range of inner ecology gardening skills called WEED, SEED and FEED. Be guided by your gut instincts, along with advice from your health professional as to whether you need antibiotics or natural alternatives, a combination of both with a total parasite program like The Complete Parasite Kit (CPK).

How does The Complete Parasite Kit fit in?

We have received feedback from customers and practitioners that our Kit is helpful for many types of worms and other chronic infestations due to its comprehensive three step approach. The CPK targets the different life cycles of parasites using 3 types of products over 2 months with instructions and a questionnaire to monitor progress. Read more here.

We are waiting to hear more from people who are currently using the CPK for common protozoan parasite infections like Blastocystis hominis and Dientamoeba fragilis.

What we DO know is that The Complete Parasite Kit can work on weeding the terrain of the body, the ground that invited the parasites in to start with. Unless you weed, seed and feed and support the body with what it needs then parasites are likely to return.

The CPK contains a blend of cleansing, anti-parasitic herbs and nutrients that can work especially well for worms, bad bacteria and fungal overgrowth. The kit can also be used as a comprehensive detox, something we could all do 1-2 times per year to keep your body nicely weeded.

The Complete Parasites Kit
Start a parasite cleanse on a full moon when the critters are at their most active.

Weed.
Harmful foods are the biggest destroyer of a healthy, inner garden. Weed out the foods that can encourage growth of harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi including sugar, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, refined, processed carbs and damaged fats and highly sprayed fruits and vegetables and conventionally grown meats. You can do this short term, whilst on the program but once you start feeling so good you won’t want to return to these comfort foods that are also addictive.

At the same time (or once your body is healing from the removal of toxic foods, tap water and other gut irritants like coffee and alcohol) start to use natural weed killers. These are present in CPK like garlic, wormwood, black walnut, cloves, ginger, barberry grapefruit seed extract, pau d’arco, pumpkin seed and olive leaf.

Two other oils, black seed oil (black cumin oil) and oregano oil are powerful antiparasitics and can be used for Blastocystis hominis and Dientamoeba fragilis. Black seed oil has been used by many practitioners because of its ability to dissolve biofilm. Biofilm is a slimy layer of mucous that coats the lining of your gut, nasal passages, teeth and gums—any warm moist surface—and where parasites love to hang out undetected.

Seed.
Once you are well into your chosen treatment protocol, maybe one months in, seed the gut. This means adding beneficial bacteria like Probiotic Foods, digestive enzymes, and restoring stomach acid with betaine HCL if low. Repair inflamed and leaky gut with soothing nutrients and herbs. Many of these herbs are found in the CPK and working alongside a herbalist helps to target which herbs might be most useful to seed and restore your gut.

Feed.
Finally, feed you gut with foods that encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria like starchy and non-starchy vegetables, certain fruits like organic berries, resistant starch (unless you have a problem digesting fructose or have SIBO) found in sweet potatoes and rice and smaller amounts of nuts, seeds and a blend of animal or vegetable protein whichever your body needs most.

Managing Parasites can be a long term process that requires attention to diet replacing beneficial bacteria and healing and building the gut and body back to health using natural alternatives like The Complete Parasite Kit. A colonic hydrotherapist, along with other health professionals who know how to look for and manage parasites can provide invaluable support. Ensure you retest for parasites after your treatment course, whatever protocol you choose and please let us know if you have been successful in eradicating them so we can continue to help others.

Flu season is on the way and for some it is already here. Fever, sore throat, runny nose, body aches and extreme fatigue. Tempted by all the advertising to get the flu shot? Last year’s flu epidemic was the worst ever, but is the flu shot the best option for your health?

According to one study, the flu shot was between 5-33% effective in 2017 (depends on the strain received). Instead of boosting your immunity, research shows flu vaccines can actually loweryour immune function, and their side effects can be significant. Since we know 70-80% of immunity is in the gut, that might be a more logical and effective place to start.

Have you thought about a herbal tonic that also contains probiotics to help boost your immunity, naturally? Probiotic Foods now have three Probiotic Liquids, all fermented to create a nutrient-rich bioactive concentrate to assist with immunity, digestion and inflammation. The flu shot as nature intended.

Fermented Olive Leaf Extract
Olive leaf is well known for it’s antiviral, antibacterial effects, as a powerful immune booster and flu fighter.

Bio-Fermented Turmeric with Ginger + Black Pepper
These herbs are known for their anti-inflammatory, pain relieving properties for achey joints gut, and skin issues.

Fermented Papaya Concentrate
Papaya fruit and leaf extract support digestion. Rich in enzymes that assist in the breakdown of fats, carbohydrates and protein.

Probiotic Foods Natural Flu Shot
Probiotic Liquids Range

(All of Probiotic Liquids have associated strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei , L. plantarum, Bifidobacterium, L. Bulgaricus, L. lactis, L. fermenti, S.boulardii and S. cerevisiae present in the mother culture.)

“The slightest tickle in the throat has me reaching for Probiotic Foods’ Fermented Olive Leaf Extract and I find that is all I need. I have not had a full blown cold since I started using this product. It works and it tastes a whole lot better than most. Amazing!”

Bronette Minelli, Townsville

Probiotic Foods Natural Flu Shot

For the ultimate natural flu shot, combine the benefits of Probiotic Liquids with these other healthy habits.

  • A diet that feeds good bacteria that is high in antioxidants. Brightly coloured fruits and vegetables, resistant starch (e.g. sweet potato) and other nuts, seeds and wholefoods, preferable organic grown in nutrient and microbe rich soils
  • Healthy fats. Boost immunity with omega 3, 6 and 9 fats from a variety of sources—grass fed animal products, wild caught fish, avocado, coconut, olive oil, flaxseed, chia and hemp oil. Use the bones to create bone broth. It contains collagen, gelatin and important amino acids to strengthen the gut barrier and it’s also great for hair, skin, nails and joints.
  • Probiotics and fermented foods. Get your good bacteria from a natural, certified organic food source and feed them and you with nourishing prebiotics. Probiotic Foods’ mother culture is supercharged with multiple bacterial strains, prebiotic rich and nutrient dense, covering all bases.
  • Vitamin D. Boost your levels with regular sunshine exposure and a supplement is one of the simplest and most efficient ways to improve your immunity and prevent acute infections like the flu. Have your Vitamin D levels tested so you know if you are low you can supplement.
  • Zinc, iron and colloidal silver. Minerals are foundational for supporting the immune system. Research shows zinc can cut down the time you have a cold by about 24 hour if taken within one day of the first symptoms.
  • Boost vitamin C and antioxidants. From local fruits and veg in season and other natural forms like camu camu—an Amazonian rainforest fruit—and acerola cherry. These are rich sources of antioxidants and can help boost the immune system.
  • Add herbs and essential oils to your diet. Oregano, thyme, garlic, ginger, clove, cinnamon and echinacea have powerful antimicrobial effects. Inhale tea tree oil, eucalyptus and peppermint oil and drink hot ginger with raw honey. Raw honey contains probiotics that boost immunity. The gut of bees contains a beneficial bacteria called Lactobacillus kunkeei and is transferred to humans via raw honey.

]]>
Lectins are protein like compounds found in many of the foods we eat including fresh fruit and vegetables. In nature, lectins in the seeds of plants are an important defense against microorganisms, pests, and insects.

Lectins pass through the gut undigested, whether you are an animal eating seeds or a human eating grains and beans. The problem is they are edible enemies, causing damage to the gut lining allowing proteins to enter the bloodstream. Lectins, literally are like superglue affecting the stickiness of blood and impacting on the gut, immune system and other organs.

You might be wondering what foods contain lectins, whether they are affecting you and why we labelled our Fermented Hemp+ as lectin free? Read on to find out if lectins might be causing your weight gain, bloating and flatulence after meals, changes in bowel habits, achy joints and muscles, hormonal fluctuations, skin eruptions, fatigue and tiredness.

Toxic to the body.

Lectins can create a toxic load on the body in many ways:

  • Resistant to enzymes and stomach acid so they pass through the body undigested creating bloating, diarrhea, pain and cramps.
  • The body produces antibodies to lectins triggering the immune system and the possibility of skin rashes, joint pain, and general inflammation.
  • Damage the lining of the gut leading to leaky gut making it an ineffective barrier to other foods, bacteria and viruses.
  • Chronic gut disorders like IBS and inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Reduces absorption of vitamins and minerals.
  • Different lectins target different organs and body systems making it hard to work out the cause of the problem.
However, lectins are not all bad. Lots of germs, and even our own immune system use the superglue effect of lectins to their benefit. For example, cells in the liver’s bile ducts have lectins on their surfaces to help snatch up bacteria and parasites and neutralise them.
Lectins are also blood type specific according to Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo in Eat Right For Your Body Type. A chemical reaction occurs between your blood and the foods you eat that contain lectins and this is one of the reasons why some people lose weight and feel so much better when they eat foods that are suitable to their blood type.

What foods contain lectins?
  1. GMO foods. Scientists artificially splice lectins into foods to promote certain traits like pest or fungal resistance. As labelling laws are poor around GMO ingredients in processed foods in Australia, stay away from any corn, soy, canola, cottonseed oil and choose more GMO free and organic foods.
  2. Fruits and vegetables that are out of season and unripe have a much higher lectin content. Aim to try and eat only produce that is grown locally, sustainably and in season preferably at your local farmers market.
  3. Legumes and pulses—adzuki, borlotti, chickpeas, fava, kidney beans, soybeans, lentils and peanuts.
  4. Grains—wheat, rye, oat and rice especially GMO versions of these.
  5. Nightshade plant family—potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and capsiscum.
  6. Cucurbit family—cucumbers and melons.
Naturally reduce lectins
Sprouting, fermenting and soaking to naturally reduce lectins.
3 ways to naturally reduce lectins.
Consider these simple steps.
  1. Fermenting. The fermentation process like the one used to create Fermented Hemp+ and the range of Probiotic Foods, uses beneficial bacteria to break down foods that might be difficult to digest. Fermented Hemp+ and Gluten and Fructose Intolerant Probiotic Foods blend contain certified organic and non GMO ingredients that are naturally low in lectins. The healthiest cultures in the world eat fermented soy products like miso, tempeh, tamari and natto, sauerkraut and kimchi. Cultures with a history of eating grains traditionally used some form of fermentation. That’s why sourdough bread and sprouted Essene breads are some of the healthiest ways to eat grains for those who are able to tolerate wheat, spelt or rye.
  2. Cooking and soaking. Even wonder why people bothered with the long soak, rinse and boil session when preparing beans and grains? Lectin reduction. This is probably the most classic method of preparing beans and grains. Adding sodium bicarbonate (a.k.a. baking soda) to the soaking water may help neutralise the lectins further.
  3. Sprouting. Sprouting seeds, grains or beans decreases the lectin content. Generally, the longer the duration of sprouting, the more lectins are deactivated. In some cases the lectin activity is enhanced by sprouting (like alfalfa sprouts). The lectins in some grains and beans are in the seed coat. As it germinates, the coat is metabolized, eliminating lectins.

Help
If you are concerned about lectins, look at where they might be creeping into your diet especially in the form of grains and GMO foods and gradually start to reduce the amount you eat. Replace grains with sweet potato or pumpkin. If you know your blood type then see if a blood type specific diet helps some of your symptoms. If you like eating beans and lentils but feel the after affects of bloating and gas use a pinch of digestive spices like cumin, coriander, fennel and ginger and sprinkle Probiotic Foods Fermented Hemp+ on your meal. Fill out our 30 day Self-Check Questionnaire to see if you notice any difference on a low lectin diet especially when you eat in season.

Call our Gut Help Hotline if you get stuck on lectins (07) 554 66 086.

Better health is the top New Year’s resolutions for many of your customers. But the path forward and products to buy can be confusing. Do I start with a fast? What’s the best detox program? Should I be juicing? What about a colon cleanse?

Hulda Clark, in her book, The Cure For all Diseases states that “All illness comes from PARASITES and POLLUTANTS”. That offers one pretty straightforward pathway to wellness. Get rid of parasites, get rid of toxic pollution (AND toxic thoughts) to regain your health. Whether it is chronic fatigue, mental health issues or hormone problems, the root causes can be traced back to these 2 issues.

But hang on, aren’t we cleansing and detoxing every minute of the day and night. Yes! Our guts send a cleansing wave though the intestines every 90-120  minutes, moving food, wastes and bacteria towards the colon. Livers are constantly breaking down chemical pollutants to become water soluble, to be removed by kidneys. Lymph, lungs and skin are also pulling their weight.

What puts the brakes on our ability to cleanse and detox effectively? Parasites! Clark says that parasites like worms, bad bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi, are the root of bowel problems like bloating, pain, nausea and gas. She emphasises that you MUST get rid of PARASITES in the body BEFORE you attempt a cleanse.

Enter The Complete Parasite Kit™ that uniquely tackles parasites AND detoxification at the same time. The 3 products in the Kit contain powerful, specially formulated herbs:

  1. Parastart™ starts to target parasites, supporting gentle elimination and detoxification.
  2. Paraflush™ flushes out the toxins that dead parasites produce
  3. Paraclean™ cleans up the wastes left behind.

Simple! Here’s a short video that explains the process:

Conveniently packaged in a carry box with instructions and a questionnaire to track your progress, it’s a great way to start the New Year with a bang. For those with all the symptoms of parasites, it’s essential!

  • Nausea, abdominal pain
  • Frequent, loose watery stools
  • Constipation, IBS, bloating
  • Traveller’s diarrhoea
  • Itchy anus and other skin irritations
  • Fatigue, exhaustion
  • Anaemia, weight loss
  • Food/chemical sensitivity
  • Brain fog, mood issues

Inhabit your body again, rather than feeling like it’s been invaded by an alien life form. Commit to reducing sugar, processed convenience foods and drinks that roll out the red carpet for parasites. Get rid of toxic people in your life and train your brain away from toxic thought patterns and beliefs that are self-limiting.

“If the master of the house is not present, all kinds of shady characters will take up residence there”, Eckhart Tolle. Shady characters—a.k.a. parasites and pollutants—can lower the immune system making you susceptible to all kinds of conditions.

Take charge of your body in 2018. Kick out unwanted guests and give it the cleanse it deserves with The Complete Parasite Kit™. For more information call the Gut Help Hotline on (07) 5546 6086

In today’s world it would be hard to find anyone who isn’t playing host to some kind of parasite, bacteria, virus, worm, fungus, yeast or protozoa living in their body.

Some parasites are sneaky, going undetected feeding off your nutrition and red blood cells, hiding out in different parts of your body sometimes asleep and sometimes alive. That’s why symptoms can come and go. Some parasites can actually be helpful. But many parasites can be downright social life wreckers.

Constant bowel issues, nausea and a whole raft of symptoms can leave you feeling weak, run down, emotionally unstable and depressed. The toxins parasites release and the associated inflammation can also trigger autoimmune diseases like Hashimoto’s. The problem is, regular stool tests don’t always pick up parasites and very few pharmaceutical solutions seem to offer long term relief. As a patient, that can be incredibly frustrating because you have symptoms but there is no apparent offender. Comprehensive stool tests used in functional medicine with a health professional experienced in diagnosing and treating parasites is a great place to start.

So, how come some people seem to pick up parasites whenever they travel or succumb to repeated candida infections?  Parasites like cosy, warm, moist homes, with lots of processed foods, fungus and yeast to feed off. Diets high in processed foods, dairy, gluten … you get the picture. They often thrive in acidic conditions, when the immune system is weak and there are no major competitors. As the gut is one of the main entry points into the body for parasites, gut conditions and the presence or absence of good gut bacteria can either encourage them to stay awhile or boot them out quick smart.

How do I know if I have parasites in my body?
Your body is home to bacteria, viruses, amoeba, mould, fungi and also worms—collectively known as your microbiome. When any of these ‘bugs’ get out of balance they can cause illness.
If you suffer from any of the below you may have a parasite infection.

  • Nausea, abdominal pain
  • Frequent, loose watery stools
  • Constipation, IBS, bloating
  • Traveller’s diarrhoea
  • Itchy skin irritations
  • Fatigue, exhaustion
  • Anaemia, weight loss
  • Food/chemical sensitivity
  • Brain fog, mood issues

The new generation Parasite Cleanse
If you suspect you have a parasitic infection, please go gently. Yes, you want them gone but you also have to do it in a way that respects your body. That’s why at Probiotic Foods, we developed a three stage The Complete Parasite Kit™ that helps to boost immunity, improve sluggish bowels and sets you on a path to complete recovery.

A word of warning
Killing parasites with prescriptions medications/antibiotics may be necessary or using strong antiparasitic herbs. Both of these can make you feel very unwell. Parasites defecate and release their toxic payload as they die, overloading an already weak immune system and stressing the liver as it struggles to detoxify. Be guided by your health professional knowledgeable in holistically treating parasites. We recommend first getting good nutrition to the cells, supporting and enhancing the immune system prior to a parasite cleanse. Our Gut Lovers Guide is a good place to start. Because parasites have a very unique and complex life cycle that allows them to rotate between dormant and alive and take on different forms, be prepared to stick to the program for at least 2-3 months.

3 step parasite removal program
3 Step Parasite Removal Program

How does it work?
Three products make up the The Complete Parasite Kit™: Parastart™, Paraflush™, Paraclean™.

Step 1: First gently remove parasites. Parastart™ contains a blend of herbs targeting parasite overgrowth whilst sparing the beneficial gut bacteria. Soluble fibre, with herbs designed to support elimination and healing of the gut wall, Parastart™ allows the body to start a comprehensive cleanse. Take 2 teaspoons in the morning before breakfast in clean, filtered water.

Step 2: Now, clean up die-off. Paraflush™ assists with cleaning up the die-off, a natural event when parasites are eliminated. When parasites live in our body they produce toxic waste products. As you start the parasite cleanse, large amounts of pathogens can be rapidly killed and what’s known as ‘die off’ occurs. Metabolic byproducts are released into the body. Diatomaceous earth and the blend of powerful nutrients helps to detoxify the body of harmful organisms. Take 25ml in the evening before bed. For best results, take Parastart™ in the morning and Paraflush™ in the evening for 30 days then introduce Step 3.

Step 3: Reduce worms, fungus and mould. Paraclean™ enhances your cleanses by reducing parasites especially fungus and mould. From day 30 of the cleanse we recommend Paraclean™ drops. Paraclean™ drops are the final stage of the program, designed to eliminate mould and fungus, the home and food source for parasites. Take 12-15 drops twice a day in clean filtered water before meals.

Aim to complete the parasite cleanse in 60 days. Even better if you begin on a full moon when parasite eggs hatch. This timing means you will complete two cycles of parasite growth.

“I had a client suffering from parasites for ten years, she suspects from a period of eating too much raw fish. She had all the symptoms: lethargy, constipation, itchy skin. Four weeks into the program, rashes and constipation cleared, brain fog lifted and she had more energy than she can remember.”
Shahnee, Authentix, Colonic Hydrotherapist

At any stage please feel free to contact us for guidance. Check out our FAQs for more information and please share your feedback from The Complete Parasite Kit™. We wish you and your gut parasite free, healthy living!

This might sound crazy—to suggest eating more starch to feed your good bacteria. Won’t that just make me fat?  Starch, more specifically resistant starch (RS) has been getting a lot of attention lately. Since the 80’s it has been known that resistant starch escapes digestion and travels to the colon where it feeds good bacteria and heals the gut. The secret is out. RS is good for us!

Resistant starch is a type of carbohydrate found in many grains like pasta and rice, vegetables like potatoes, lentils, beans, unripe bananas, papaya and mangoes. When pasta is cooked and cooled the starch molecules are rearranged, changing the chemical structure. You can’t digest it but your hungry bacteria can!

Gut bacteria ferment resistant starch, and turn it into a fat called butyrate. This is actually great news even though it doesn’t sound it. Starch turning to fat in your gut? Yes! But it’s the hungry bacteria that feast on buyrate not your fat cells. Research shows it can do many more things as well: stimulate blood flow to the colon, help absorb minerals and inhibit the growth of bad bacteria. Resistant starch can also prevent absorption of toxic/carcinogenic compounds, which can protect against bowel cancer.

At Probiotic Foods, we talk a lot about the benefits of dietary fibre for a healthy gut. Probiotic Foods are rich in fermented food fibres that feed your good gut bugs. Just imagine if you also actively change your diet to include more of these resistant starches, what results you might get.

Benefits of eating resistant starch

  • Improved feeling of satisfaction and fullness, eat less at meal times
  • Better blood sugar control, less insulin required—great for diabetics
  • Balanced energy levels
  • Better digestion—RS bulks and softens stool, helps regularity
  • Can help reduce fat stores as RS feeds bacteria not fat cells

Foods with resistant starch

Probiotic Foods contain fermented fibre from rice, lentils, sweet potato, and seeds rich in RS. RS is high in cooked and cooled potatoes/sweet potatoes, rice, pasta, lentils and beans that have been cooked and cooled including canned beans. Plantains (the less sweet, more starchy sister of the banana) and unripe bananas and other grains like oats and barley are also good sources. To get the most from RS, choose whole, unprocessed sources of carbohydrate such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and beans/legumes. RS is best consumed when part of a meal as in cooled and if desired, gently warmed potato, rice or pasta added to a salad. Start to gradually increase the amount you consume and avoid any of the chemically modified, synthetic and commercialized RS products, such as ‘Hi-Maize Resistant Starch’.

Word of warning

If you have an overgrowth of bacteria in your small intestine, like in the case of SIBO (Small Intestinal Bowel Overgrowth), you may be intolerant to starch. Address your gut imbalance with a SIBO diet before adding any extra starch. Also choose your grains carefully according to your intolerances, blood type and natural preference. Check in with your body using our 30 Day Self-Check Questionnaire.

THE CHEAT SHEET

We gathered all these tips and created a cheat sheet to make it easier to talk about Probiotic Foods. Naturally, when you have experienced the benefits first hand, or have heard Don Chisholm, a.k.a. The Gut Man, speak, it’s easy to talk about it! But if you are new to the range, here are top tips on moving Probiotic Foods off the shelf. Download the cheat sheet here, print and keep at the counter.

Why Probiotic Foods Cheat Sheet

  1. The power of Probiotic Foods is in the foods.
  2. Good bacteria need food (prebiotics) to stay alive and thrive in the gut. Probiotic Foods contain certified organic wholefoods to feed good bacteria.
  3. More good bacteria and fibre with each spoonful.
  4. Naturally fermented with easy to absorb nutrition from wholefoods—vitamins minerals, and amino acids.
  5. Shelf stable. Leave on the bench—so it’s easy to see and remember to take.
  6. Made with a tough organic mother culture that contains 12+ strains of beneficial bacteria (view bacteria strains).
  7. Start slowly! This is a powerful functional food for you and your gut. First time users start with ⅛ tsp (½ a capsule) and gradually build up to ½ tsp (2 capsules) morning and night. One container will last you more than a month!

Bacteria are our life force. Nothing can survive without essential bacteria (probiotics) and nothing can survive without nutrition getting to cells. Many health shops ask their customers to share some of their symptoms to help them decide whether they could benefit from Probiotic Foods. Here are some quick prompters:

  • How do you digest? Do you feel heavy, bloated, with irregular bowels or heartburn?
  • What is your energy like? Feeling tired, sluggish, craving sugar?
  • Do you often feel moody, irritable, fuzzy in the head?

Offering the Day 1 / Day 30 Self-Check Questionnaire to your customers helps them their health progress, gives great feedback and supports repeat sales (download here.) Don’t forget you can always call the Gut Help Hotline Mon-Fri 9-5pm (07) 5549 3340.

Please share your tops tips and experiences with us. We love your passion for Probiotic Foods!
